There aren’t samples posted yet, so you’ll have to trust my judgement until I’m told they’ve gone live and I add them in… I have no doubt, though, that you’ll find your ears (and your heart) totally enchanted when you listen to Gloria’s lively vocal on “I’ll Close My Eyes”… I have no doubt (whatsoever) that this one will be getting some HUGE amounts of airplay on jazz stations around the globe!
If you’re looking for something a bit more introspective and laid-back, the opening track, “A Time For Love”, will do very nicely… the recording is flawless, and you can hear just how intertwined these performers are as you listen to the tune again and again.
It took me no time at all to decide on my personal favorite of the ten tasty tunes offered up for our romantic jazz adventure… “Maybe You’ll Be There” will certainly give many of us memories of love, in all it’s pain and glory!
I give Gloria and Marty a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.98 for this Valentine’s treat.
