“It’s Gloria’s elegant, refined voice that holds the listener. So intimate and present, she’s able to paint amazing pictures with her interpretations for these classic songs.” ~Dave Koz

Join actress/singer Gloria Reuben for an intimate evening of music in celebration of Valentine’s Day, filled with the well loved songs recorded by the incomparable Shirley Horn. Since Gloria first heard Ms. Horn’s “Here’s To Life” album she has adored Shirley’s exquisite piano playing and unique voice. Gloria plans to please her audience with favorites like “If You Love Me,” “A Time For Love,” “Jelly Jelly,” and of course “Here’s To Life”.

Gloria is best known as an Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominated actress with acclaimed roles in the TV series ER, Raising The Bar, Falling Skies, Mr. Robot, the upcoming new Marvel TV show Cloak and Dagger, and many more. Gloria’s film work includes Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln alongside Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field, Paul Weitz’s Admission starring Tina Fey, and the thriller Reasonable Doubt, where she co-starred with Samuel L. Jackson.

Music has always been an important part of this Toronto-born multitalented artist’s life. She even took time off from her acting career to tour as a backup singer for Tina Turner in Ms. Turner’s tour, 24/7!

Now Gloria returns to the stage, her longstanding love. She is excited to share her love of Shirley Horn with unique arrangements, and at times accompanying herself at the piano.

Gloria’s most recent jazz album, Perchance to Dream, was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Marty Ashby. As All About Jazz wrote: “Though the actress/singer is more well-known as an actress, she could have just as easily broken through as a singer. This CD [Perchance to Dream] will definitely cause music fans to reconsider their thinking regarding Gloria Reuben. They will now be forced to consider her as more than just a famous actress who sometimes sings.”
